Please join us for this enlightening webinar to learn who we are talking about when we say “incarcerated survivors.” Who are they? Are their needs different from survivors “on the outside?” Do you have concerns about whether or not your advocacy skills will transfer into a corrections setting, to working with male survivors, or to working with survivors who may also have been perpetrators? If so, this is the webinar for you. During this webinar, we will unpack some common misconceptions about people in detention and you will hear from incarcerated survivors and advocates who have worked with them about the power of advocacy in their healing. The webinar will feature speakers Just Detention International (JDI) as well as rape crisis advocates and survivors.

The events listed are provided as a service for providers. SAFEta, the IAFN, and the Department of Justice, Office on Violence Against Women do not endorse any programs listed.
