SART Case Review

This webinar will present practical solutions for Sexual Assault Response Teams looking for resources to create a case review process. For SART teams that are "seasoned" in the process, this will be an opportunity to take a look at enhancing practice.

 

Presenter Information:  Dr. Linda E.Ledray RN, Ph.D., FAAN is the founder and director of the Minneapolis, Minnesota based Sexual Assault Resource Service (SARS), one of the first Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE-SART) programs, which she developed in 1977. SARS provides competent forensic-medical services to sexual assault survivors at seven hospital sites in Hennepin County, MN.

Dr. Ledray is also an adjunct faculty member at the University of Minnesota where she has taught in the School of Nursing and the Psychology Department. She has been active in humanitarian relief missions to Honduras, Thailand, and Bosnia and she has taught nationally and internationally on the topic of victim assistance, SANE-SART program development, and program evaluation. Dr. Ledray is a retired US Army Colonel. She was stationed at Landstuhl, Regional Medical Center in Germany and was mobilized in support of Operation Desert Storm.

Dr. Ledray is the SANE section editor for the Journal of Forensic Nursing and has published many articles and books including The Single Woman’s Vacation Guide (1986),Recovering from Rape (1988 and 1994), and Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner Development and Operation Guide (1999), Sexual Assault Victimization Across the Life Span: A Clinical Guide (in press).

Dr. Ledray lives at Misty Hills Ranch in Watertown, MN. When not riding horseback or foxhunting she may be found riding her Harley Davidson motorcycle, or downhill skiing in the mountains of Steamboat Springs, CO.
